Hello, everybody! It's been a while!!!!
I published this game all the way back from January 16, 2019, and somehow people still find and play it! I can't be any more thankful for the support, and even though I don't play Enstars anymore, the Aoi Twins are still very dear to me, and I hope they are to you too! Sometimes my friends will link me Looking Glass fanart, and I would freak out (positively) about it in my private account!
I always thought about remaking the game entirely, but I'm preoccupied with work and a new game project unrelated to this. I'm really sorry if you expect more Looking Glass content! If only I had more time, I really would remake this from scratch and revise some text and events! Speaking of—
Looking back, there's a lot of things I could have depicted differently. I believe I may have done harm with how I presented "fake Hinata," specifically. To make things clear, Yuuta is not the host of a system, and this fake Hinata is not an alter, but rather a self-loathing representation of Yuuta who fully blamed himself for the tragedy, thus his hostility towards him and him alone. This part of him would occasionally play the part of "Hinata" due to his utter denial about the event. Still, I sincerely apologize if I brought about any misleading concept or harmful stereotypes regarding Dissociative Identity Disorder. The only thing they have in common is that they've gone through such traumatic events and are in need of compassion.
In the process of grief, we might undergo a bit of self-loathing. Looking Glass was created with the thought of teaching ourselves to be patient and kind to those experiencing grief, even if they don't realize that they're grieving themselves. And if you're the one experiencing grief, you must practice this love unto yourself. You may be grieving the death of a loved one, a breakup, losing a long-time friend, or even a traumatic event. The pain of this loss does not completely disappear; we only grow around it, and to grow is a long process. It's painful, and you may never heal, but you will find something to help relieve that pain somehow. Maybe it's a pet, maybe it's a hobby, maybe it's even a bowl with cute decorations. You may think it's useless to start small, but a start is a start, and is significant progress in the right direction. It's important to surround yourself with those small lovely things and find beauty in a world that grows more cruel to those who are kind.
If you've played the game, I hope my message reached you. I hope that even without grief, people will learn to be more kind and patient to themselves and other people. If you've played this game years ago, thank you for the support. This project has become so dear to me, and I can't be thankful enough that people enjoy it so much.
Good night! I love you!
